Mackay Recreational Fishers Alliance Inc.
MRFA is an incorporated body looking after the needs of recreational anglers from Midge Point, to Clareview.
Our #1 goal is to make Mackay the fishing destination of Queensland
We pay tribute to our two main sponsors, namely Tackle World Shakespeare Street who without their financial assistance we would not exist.
Members of MRFA used to operate under the umbrella of Sunfish Queensland ( operating as Sunfish Mackay )
We resigned our membership in August 2012 following a fall out with Sunfish Queensland following their recommendation to the Queensland Government that,* Trinity Inlet,* Albatros Bay, and* Keppel Bay be given priority consideration should government consider the establishment of commercial net free zones in Queensland as part of Governments current Commercial net buy back scheme
* Note : none of the above net free priority locations have Sunfish Branches.
